Operation Compagnons d'armes
Known as Operation Buddy Check when initially launched, Operation Compagnons d’armes is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to providing a wide range of free services to veterans experiencing homelessness, including health care; administrative support for processing VAC applications; humanitarian support; scientific research support; recreation and reintegration into society. This community project was launched on 23 January 2016 by Captain (retired) Stéphane Bourassa, M.Sc., Inf., CD. Since then, Major (retired) Marc Dauphin, MSM, CD, MD, and Corporal Francis Adam, CD, have been named cofounders in recognition of their contributions to this project. On 20 March 2017, Operation Compagnons d’armes was incorporated as a non- profit organization.
